hey, I'm now working on a rpg game, not something big, but I thought I could post my ideas here so I can get some help with more ideas and weapons, maybe some1 that wanna help me and so on xD

ok, here I go

I still don't know what the games name is so if u have any ideas plx tell me

u are this warrior in a small village in the mountains. And one day the highpriest in your village have a prophecy about a evil beast waking up. He don't know were so he desides to have a tornament and the top three will be companions and set out to find and stop the great threath to the world.

1. place : a bowman with great tactical skills:male
2. place: a healer and a witch doctor:female
3. place: you, a small warrior noone have ever heard of before:male(I think)

and then the game starts, when u have the last chat with the high priest about what to do. And you are getting told to go futher down the mountains and the last village before the dessert, you will find an old wizard. on the way down u will find a great and furious dragon dead besides another dragon egg in the forrest. it will be some talking and killing of some thiefs that killed the dragon and u take the dragon egg with u. and when u get to the wizard he will hatch the egg for u and u become 5 companions

and thats what I have come up with to now:P

I will try to make full gear, not only sword and shield , sword and sword or 2-hand. I want pants, head, hands, rings, neck, chest, hand wrists and maybe some more, don't know yet:P

and I will have a inventory (ofcourse) 8 slots in the start and then u can buy all the way up to 16 when u get to vendors and stuff

I'm going to have food and health potions to restore health. hopefully I will get the your other companions to follow u and help u throught the game at almost all time and the wizard, dragon and the healer will have mana and spells that u can choose when to use in a action bar or something. and the bowman will always shot arrows at the enemies that are comming as long as he has arrows.

I'm going to make it 2D so it will hopefully have the same grafics as maybe age of empires or something. Hopefully I will get some help there and on the hardest scripting parts

and that is all I have for now I think plz tell me what u think

Sounds good, I would play it. However you said you would plan on having the graphics of age of empires or something. Little warning: Isometric graphics are REALLY hard to do. Usually you need to pre-render them in 3d. For a game like this, I would suggest to make the graphics platform style, but overhead could work also. Good luck!

yeah, I might do it like overhead or platform, just have to see how hard it is first....
if I don't do it the way I wanted, then I'm going for overhead I think, dunno yet, I'll come to that

Yeah, trust me, Isometric is crazy hard unless you can do 3d renders (which I could not). Animating, too. It's like drawing a 3d guy walking - impossible!

Well, platform usually has nicer looking graphics, because trees and bushes and whatnot have height. Overhead is more accessible usually, especially when there is strategy involved.

mhm, but platform games and rpg just don't go together I think, overhead is a lot better then even thought the wont be the same perspective in height as a platfor game, but it just looks better for a rpg game to look from overhead or have it isometricxD and if I don't manage to get it in isometric then I think I will have it in overhead

ty, just have to get some ppl that are able to make good scripts and grapics or overhead grafics can't be that hard if I do it simple

Simplicity CAN be good if you apply style to it. Also, beware posting on the GMC, they have strict rules and will nab your topic if you don't have a playable demo. Which is why news of Bleare Kingdoms will be reaching them late.

w00t?!? I need a demo to get ppl to help me, thats just bad done of them, what if u have this great idea and need help with just getting started, and u never can start becouse they forbid it....lol?!?

I've had the idea for Bleare Kingdoms for many years, but I had to resist starting until I knew I could do it.

thats to bad....shouldn't be that way, but I can't just look away from gmc's side, if every1 was going to get ppl for every idea they had the forum would be full of junk...

look, I don't need a demo to get some ppl to help me create my game thats really good, maybe I can finish this game soon thought the I actually have a game that is good enough for yoyogames

Besides, I didn't want any new teammates. You know, alot of the team request threads go unanswered because there are very few game makers that look through those and decide to work with someone, it just doesn't happen much. Learning to do it all yourself is hard. Well, I don't do the music, but whatever, you know what I mean.
